Victoria Park Camping Ground

About

The camping ground is located in corner of Victoria Park. The 6.8 ha park is in the heart of Waimate, an ideal spot to explore the town and district. Shops, eateries and the swimming pool are within walking distance, and a short drive will take you to the many walks surrounding the town.

The park has beautiful gardens, trees and lawns, animal enclosures, a cycling oval, a 9-hole Frisbee golf course, open and sheltered picnic areas and a modern playground.

x2 kitchens - the main kitchen is located on Naylor Street and a smaller kitchen serving the standard cabins is on Tennant Street. Each contain a microwave, small oven with cooktop, fridge, hot water. Please supply your own pots, pans, cutlery and crockery.

Location

The entrance to the main camping area to access the ensuite cabins, the power and non-power sites is on Naylor Street, Waimate. The standard cabins are situated on Tennant Street (opposite the car park entrance to Victoria Park and playground).

Cash
During office hours 8am – 4.30pm cash payments can be made to the Waimate District Council office located at 125 Queen Street, Waimate.

If booking on the day, after-hours payments can be made to the camp caretaker.
