We wish to advise that Waimate District Council are expecting to commence the installation of the Queen Street watermain on Monday 20 January 2025.
We aim to reduce the disruption by undertaking night works where possible and estimate the works to be completed within a 2-week timeframe.
Queen Street (from Parsonage Road to High Street) will be partially closed to vehicular traffic. Traffic management & a detour will be in place for the duration of the works with the footpath remaining open, due to the install being in the side of the roading corridor.
We apologise for the short notice, Waimate District Council are carrying out this planned install in a more urgent manner to ensure it is completed prior to NZTA’s road resealing works.
