Proposal To Close Roads
Public Notices
Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974 notice is hereby given that Waimate District Council and NZ Transport Agency, for the purpose of permitting Waimate 50 Motorsport Inc. to hold a street sprint, to close the following roads for the following period.
Dates of Closure
From 6pm Friday 19 October to 12pm Monday 22 October 2018.
State Highway
State Highway 82 Queen Street (High Street to Dash Street)
Local Streets
- Slee Street
- Glasgow Street
- Graham Street
- Manse Street (Innes Street to Shearman Street)
- Shearman Street (63 Shearman Street to High Street)
- Victoria Terrace (Queen Street to Wilkin Street)
- Wilkin Street (Victoria Street to Michael Street)
- John Street (William Street to New World Entrance)
- Paul Street (Event Centre to William Street)
- Goldsmith Street
During the period of closure the alternative route for State Highway 82 (Queen Street) will be via High Street, Harris Street, and Mill Road.
Any person wishing to object to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and ground thereof, in writing, before Friday 24 August 2018 at the office of the Council, Queen Street, Waimate.
