Pool party set to draw crowds
The Norman Kirk Memorial Swimming Pool in Waimate will be the place to be on Saturday 17 November when Council hosts a pool party.
With free entry and a free sausage sizzle, Mayor Craig Rowley is confident plenty of people will come along to enjoy a family-friendly, fun event that will also include new inflatable toys.
“We had a pool party earlier in the year that proved to be very popular with over 200 people coming along,” says Mayor Rowley.
“We’re expecting this pool party to be no different. We have purchased some new inflatable toys (two balls, a seesaw, four mini poly rings, and one octo boat) which will provide hours of fun for children, and the free sausage sizzle will definitely be a drawcard.”
“The pool party is a community event, designed to provide families with a fun-filled occasion.”
As well as the new inflatable toys, the giant inflatable crocodile will also be in the pool.
The pool party is on Saturday 17 November from 1-3pm. Entry is free to everyone.
