Boil Water Notice for Hook-Waituna Rural Water Scheme

To Hook-Waituna Rural Water Scheme consumers.

The Waimate District Council is advising Hook-Waituna Rural Water Scheme consumers to boil all drinking water.

This is due to the recent heavy rain and the possibility of bacterial contamination in the treated water supply.

Council advises a rolling boil of at least a minute for all water used for drinking, food preparation, and personal use, such as cleaning teeth, until further notice.

Please also inform all staff and tenants on your property of this notice.
