Notice of Ordinary Council Meeting

Pursuant to the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, notice is hereby given that the Waimate District Council will be holding an

Ordinary Council Meeting via Zoom on Tuesday 14 April 2020 at 9.30am.

While Council established an Emergency Committee at an Extraordinary Council Meeting held on 24 March 2020 to ensure Council was able to maintain all appropriate and necessary decision-making ability in light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, subsequent legislative changes to the Local Government Act 2002 and Local Government Official Information Management Act (the COVID-19 Response (Urgent Management Measures) Legislation Act 2020) ensures that meetings can be conducted via audio or visual links and will meet quorum requirements (regardless of Council Standing Orders).

Should any member of the public or media wish to attend this meeting via Zoom they can email the Committee Secretary on karalyn@waimatedc.govt.nz.

The public agenda will be available on Council’s website www.waimatedc.govt.nz two working days before the meeting.
