Public Notification WDC Litter Infringment Fine

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION - LITTER INFRINGEMENT FINE

On Tuesday 12 May 2020 the Waimate District Council passed a resolution setting the infringement fine for littering under the Litter Act 1979 at $300 per offence. The delegated enforcement officers within the Waimate District Council will be able to issue litter infringement fines, pursuant to section 14 of the Litter Act 1979, for offences within the Waimate District from 15 June 2020.
