Proposal to close road to vehicular traffic - Christmas Parade

PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROAD TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimate District Council and Waka Kotahi for the purpose of permitting, Positive Waimate Group, to hold a Christmas Parade proposing to close State Highway 82 to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

Any person wishing to object to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and ground thereof, in writing, before Tuesday 21 September 2021 at the office of the Council, 125 Queen Street, Waimate

Dates of Closure:
Saturday 4 December 2021 (10:30am to 2.00pm)

State Highway 82
Queen Street (Cameron Street to Goldsmith Street)

Local Streets
Cameron Street (Wall Street to Queen Street)
Wall Street (Rugby Street to Cameron Street)
Goldsmith Street (John Street to Queen Street)

During the period of closure the alternative route for State Highway 82 (Queen Street) will be via Oxford Street, Exeter Street, Herbert Street, Harris Street and Mill Road.
