ANZAC - 2022 Civic Service

The Waimate Community Anzac Group in association with the Waimate RSA advise that due to the current ‘red traffic light’ Covid-19 status, Waimate District’s ANZAC Dawn and Civic Services are open to RSA Members and invited guests only.

In lieu of this, the 7am Dawn and 10am Civic Services will be livestreamed on the Deputy Mayor’s Facebook page. Members of the public are invited to lay a poppy at the district’s cenotaphs, including the Waimate Clock Tower, in their own time during Anzac Day.

Poppies are now available at all the usual outlets, Poppy Day is Friday 22 April with RSA members stationed outside the Waimate New World and in the Waimate shopping area.
