Pedestrian Crossing Reinstated on High Street
Public Notices
News
Eagle-eyed road users will notice the pedestrian crossing on High Street has now been reinstated. During the resealing a few weeks ago, contractors sealed over the previous crossing point and since then, Council has received plenty of feedback to question when it will be put back in place.
In the interest of safety, the crossing has been reinstated away from the corner. The existing poles on the corner of High Street/Queen Street will be removed and new ones will be installed at the new crossing.
If you’re still not quite sure where we are referring to, here’s (above) our Roading Manager Rob Moffat giving it the big tick. Thank you to all those who took the time to provide their views to Council, your feedback was appreciated.
