Proposal to close streets to vehicular traffic - Christmas Parade

Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974, and the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waimate District Council and Waka Kotahi for the purpose of permitting, Positive Waimate Group to hold a Christmas Parade proposing to close State Highway 82 to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

Any person wishing to object to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and ground thereof, in writing, before Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the office of the Council, Queen Street, Waimate

Dates of Closure:
10:30am to 2.00pm Saturday 3 December 2022

State Highway 82
Queen St (Cameron St to Goldsmith St)

Local Streets
Cameron Street(Wall St to Queen St)
Wall St (Rugby St to Cameron St)
Goldsmith Street (John St to Queen St)

During the period of closure the alternative route for State Highway 82 (Queen St) will be via Oxford St, Exeter St, Herbert St, Harris St, Mill Rd
