A number of agencies may be involved during a civil defence emergency. If you need to report an emergency always call 111 in the first instance.

If you need assistance (non-emergency) call Council on +64 3 689 0000.
Look after your immediate family first then check on your neighbours. Are there people nearby who may need help?
Listen to the radio to find out what is happening.
If you don't have a battery-powered radio and you don't have power, remember you can use your car radio.
