Inspection of Rating Information Database
The Rating Information Database (RID) is a list of information that is used to set and assess rates on a particular rating unit by Waimate District Council and Environment Canterbury.
Public notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 that the Rating Information Database for the Waimate District is available for public inspection.
Inspection can be made by all members of the public, without fee, at any time, by accessing the following website page: waimatedc.govt.nz/property-rates/rates/a-search-your-property
Alternatively, inspections may made at the Local Government Centre during business hours.
You are welcome to inspect Council's Rating Information Database (RID) at Council’s Office, 125 Queen Street, Waimate during office hours (8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday). A computer is also available at the Library.

Withholding Information
Pursuant to Section 28C of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 an owner whose particulars are included on the Waimate District Council Rating Information Database (RID) may request the local authority to withhold his or her name or postal address (or both) from the database.
